Dear MIAA Baseball Official Board Leaders and Coaches, A subcommittee of the MIAA Baseball Committee has been working on needs to help in the transition to NFHS Baseball Rules which begin in the spring of 2020. These efforts include the support and educational opportunities for coaches and officials during the next 6 months as everyone prepares for the spring of 2020. The subcommittee developed a plan to hold regional meetings during November 2019. These meetings are planned to help educate both officials and coaches on the important differences between MLB and NFHS baseball rules. Each meeting will be approximately 2 hours in length, and will include a presentation on the different areas of the rules with questions and answers with those attending. We will also be developing a resource page for presentations and supporting documents. This resource page will be located on the baseball page of the MIAA website. Here is the link to where the resource page will be: Baseball Page. Resources will be posted as soon as possible. To accommodate as many coaches and officials as possible, meetings are being organized regionally. The meetings are scheduled for: | ||
Bridgewater-Raynham HS | Tues., Nov. 12 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM |
Stoneham HS | Weds., Nov. 13 | 6:30 – 8:30 PM |
Shrewsbury HS | Weds., Nov. 13 | 6:00 – 8:00 PM |
